Janani Karunarathne

I am a PhD student at Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) based at University of Melbourne under the supervision of Dr Rhea Longley and Prof Ivo Mueller at Infection and Global Health Division at WEHI. My project focuses on understanding the targets and mechanisms of Plasmodium vivax immunity, with the goal of developing novel immunological approaches for malaria vaccination and contributing to global malaria elimination efforts. I previously earned my Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Immunology and Integrative Molecular Biology at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
