Amatulla Nashikwala
As a Partnerships Officer at BASE Facility, I work at the intersection of science, partnerships and research translation, helping turn innovative research ideas into well-defined projects, collaborations and outcomes.
I work across business development and project management activities, including stakeholder engagement, contract and legal documentation management, project scoping, and overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to successful delivery. I have coordinated 75+ research projects and collaborations, working with researchers, universities, medical research institutes and industry partners from initial enquiry and project design through implementation, delivery and follow-up.
With experience spanning the entire mRNA production pipeline, I bring a strong technical foundation that enables me to understand client needs and translate scientific requirements into successful projects. My role focuses on building and sustaining strategic partnerships, fostering collaborations, and supporting the growth of Australia's mRNA ecosystem.
By bridging scientific expertise with commercial outcomes, I help researchers and organisations access the capabilities, resources, and partnerships needed to accelerate innovation in mRNA medicines.
