Amatulla Nashikwala
I am a Senior mRNA scientist with deep expertise in the development, optimisation, validation, and manufacturing of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics, with a strong focus on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation. Proven track record supporting robust, scalable processes for mRNA-LNPs, recombinant proteins, and nucleic acid–based assays in regulated environments I am currently working as a Senior Production scientist at BASE mRNA Facility. With a Masters in Biotechnology and a strong foundation in molecular biology, I bring hands-on experience in upstream and downstream processing of mRNA and its development and manufacture as vaccines and therapeutic agents. Over my early career, I have contributed to several translational research projects, including molecular diagnostics, peptide therapeutics, and viral-host interaction studies, across academic and industry settings. At the Lorne Conference, I will be sharing insights into use of mRNA and LNP in prevention and treatment of infectious and immunological diseases and how BASE can support your journey.
